Description
Retina Specialists Seeking Third Specialist
The retina physicians at Ophthalmology Ltd (OLTD) are seeking a third surgeon to assist with the workload after the unexpected passing of our practice partner. Our goals are to continue to provide excellent medical and surgical retinal care, and to continue the practice growth we have nurtured over the past 20 years as a retina service. Based in Sioux Falls, SD, OLTD has served the four-state region for over 50 years. We are the largest practice in the region and are committed to providing exceptional medical and surgical care with a patient-first and data-driven philosophy of care.
The successful applicant will join a team of two retinal specialists with a deep and well-established patient base. Our practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging and has a growing research presence with multiple clinical trials currently enrolling. Our attached and wholly owned Ambulatory Surgery Center provides immediate access for urgent and emergent cases under the same roof as our clinical facilities.
Our practice serves a broad base of patients both with typical retinal disease as well as patients with more complex and challenging diagnostic and surgical needs.
We are a multi-specialty practice with multiple cornea and glaucoma providers, as well as oculoplastic and neuro-ophthalmology trained subspecialists. While we are a multi-specialty practice, we operate as a collection of individual practices under one roof which allows maximum flexibility in creating an individualized practice that serves the needs of the patient base as well as the retina specialist.
Requirements
Applicants will have an MD or DO from an accredited medical school, have completed an accredited residency in Ophthalmology, and will have completed a two-year medical/surgical retina fellowship. Board certification is required, as is eligibility for medical licensure in South Dakota and a valid DEA certification. Applicants must possess strong communication skills and an ability to excel in a collegial team-oriented practice.
