Description

This position is responsible for providing health care for patients with various medical conditions in a college health setting and involves clinical assessment/evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients in accordance with guidelines and generally accepted standards of care.

* Provides the following functions: primary medical care to patients with various medical conditions pertinent to college students; evaluation/assessment, diagnosis, treatment plans, and appropriate ongoing care; orders and interprets laboratory tests as needed to diagnose and treat patients.
* Produces complete and accurate medical records for each patient encounter using the Electronic Medical Record system.
* Participates in medical staff peer review.
* Must be willing to be a supervising physician to a midlevel medical provider, such as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services.
* Observes safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed and programs supervised.,

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited medical school and three years of experience as a practicing physician.
