Were seeking a passionate and driven Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Opportunity Details
- Position Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, in-person coverage with additional responsibilities for weekend rounding and call.
- Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
- Specialty: Psychiatry
- Hospital Information: The hospital includes a 28-bed inpatient psychiatric unit and a Partial Hospitalization Program with a capacity of 24 chairs.
- Position Details: This role offers a blend of inpatient psychiatry and consult-liaison services, with the opportunity to provide coverage for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP).
- Team Size: 5 attendings 2 APPs
- Teaching Opportunities: Opportunities to teach and mentor medical students and residents in a collaborative academic environment.
- Call Requirements: Inpatient call rotation approximately every six days.

Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry with agreement to obtain within 12 months.
- Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license
- BLS certification (must be maintained)/ ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)
Duties & Responsibilities
A typical day may include:
- Providing direct patient care
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in teaching and mentoring
- Documenting in Epic EMR
- Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
- Supporting community health efforts
- Additional opportunities include participating in group education initiatives and pursuing continuing education to support ongoing professional growth and development.
