Opportunity InformationSutter West Bay Medical Group (SWBMG) is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing cardiovascular program in San Francisco, CA. This hybrid position provides advanced practice care across both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting patients with cardiac rhythm disorders through comprehensive electrophysiology services.
The NP/PA will serve as a key clinical partner within the electrophysiology team, providing continuity of care through EP clinics, inpatient consultation services, procedural coordination, and longitudinal management of patients with arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices. This role offers the opportunity to practice collaboratively with electrophysiologists while developing expertise in a highly specialized area of cardiovascular medicine.
Practice Highlights
- Hybrid role combining outpatient electrophysiology clinic and inpatient consultation services
- Management of patients with atrial fibrillation, SVT, VT, bradyarrhythmias, syncope, and other cardiac rhythm disorders
- Pre- and post-procedure care for catheter ablations, cardioversions, pacemaker implants, ICD implants, CRT devices, and generator changes
- Participation in device management, remote monitoring review, and device interrogations/programming as credentialed
- Fully integrated Epic EMR across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team including electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, technologists, and advanced practice providers

- Strong clinical support structure focused on delivering patient-centered cardiovascular care
- Full-time hybrid schedule (8-hour days / 5 days per week)

Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current, unrestricted California licensure or eligibility for licensure
- National certification (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA)
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Additional certifications as required by the department
Preferred
- Prior cardiology or electrophysiology experience
- Experience with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs)
- Comfort working across both inpatient and ambulatory care settings
- Strong understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia management
- Ability to interpret complex diagnostic and device data
