Description

Well-established Gastroenterology practice in Lawrenceville seeks an experienced Physician Assistant who is committed to providing professional, efficient and quality patient-centered care for our patients. The PA for this role must have excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the lead physician. Key areas of focus are outpatient follow-ups, pre-procedure workups, reviewing results with patients and management of medications.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•         Reviewing medical histories to understand patients’ present health concerns
•         Performing routine exams and/or ordering tests and assessments
•         Reviewing the results of lab work and diagnostic tests under physician supervision
•         Diagnosing illnesses and assisting in providing treatment and care
•         Ordering prescriptions and medications
•         Developing and managing treatment and wellness plans

Requirements

Requires: 

•         Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
•         Georgia State licensure as a Physician Assistant
•         Previous experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine or a related specialty
•         Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
•         Excellent communication skills and a commitment to excellence and patient support
