Description

Urology locums coverage needed in Ohio with ongoing full-time need until a permanent hire is in place, plus a defined clinic structure and procedural mix across inpatient and outpatient care.

Highlights

• Ongoing full-time need until a permanent urologist is hired.
• Clinic support includes 2 NPs, dedicated UDS technician, and a surgery scheduler.
• Mix of clinic, office procedures, and hospital cases with established volumes.
• Hospital will accept multiple providers, call can be shared

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient urology, adult patients.
• Clinic layout includes 6 exam rooms, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 urodynamics room with UDS machine.
• Support staff includes 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Medical Office Assistants, 6 clinical staff, 1 surgery scheduler, and 1 UDS technician.
• Clinic volume is approximately 15 to 20 patients per day, hospital procedure volume approximately 4 to 8 procedures per day.

Schedule

• Full-time ongoing coverage until permanent hire.
• Office hours Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Clinic schedule of 3 to 4 half-day clinic sessions per week.
• Scheduled clinical hours plus call, preference is shared call coverage with an on and off structure.

Cases and Procedures

• Office procedures include vasectomy, prostate biopsy, cystoscopy with stent removal, and prostate ultrasound.
• Hospital cases include cystoscopy, TURP, ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy, PCNL, radical or partial nephrectomy, GreenLight laser prostate, UroLift, and Aquablation.
• Additional urology procedures include InterStim Stage I and II, PNE, SpaceOAR and fiducial placement, HIFU, cryoablation of prostate or kidney, penile prosthesis, and penile plication.
• Pelvic and reconstructive procedures include abdominal sacrocolpopexy, mid urethral sling, cystocele repair, rectocele repair, and urethral bulking.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Board Certified in Urology.
• BLS certification required.
• Ohio license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, Open to IMLC Physicians.
