Pediatric Emergency Medicine locums coverage in Arizona across a multi site pediatric ED group, with 8 hour shifts spanning days, evenings, and nights and no call requirement.

Practice Setting

• Pediatric Emergency Medicine coverage, 100 percent pediatrics.
• Multi site ED coverage, including the state's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center at Thomas ED, with Arrowhead and Avondale as Level 4.
• Annual ED volumes, Thomas 75k, Arrowhead 30k, Avondale 55k, Mercy Gilbert expected 20k in year one.
• Vacancy driver is satellite hospital expansion.

Schedule

• 8 hour PEM shifts.
• Shift mix includes days, evenings, and nights.
• No call.
• Coverage window is April 2027 through June 2028.

Cases and Procedures

• Management of critically ill neonates, including neurologic, surgical, cardiac, and complex multisystem conditions.
• Endotracheal intubation.
• Umbilical venous catheter placement, umbilical arterial catheter placement, peripheral arterial line or stick.
• Lumbar puncture and chest tube placement.

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO.
• Pediatric Emergency Medicine, board certified or board eligible within 5 years.
• Arizona license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, open to IMLC Physicians.
• ATLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA required.
