Locums OB/GYN Opportunity - South Carolina

We are seeking a board-certified OB/GYN physician for locum tenens coverage at a rural South Carolina facility. This opportunity is primarily focused on outpatient OB/GYN clinic coverage with participation in a call rotation, providing a mix of clinic-based care and inpatient OB responsibilities.

Practice Setting

• Rural OB/GYN practice currently rebuilding and expanding its program
• Clinic volume: approximately 20-30 patients per day when covering clinic
• OB volume: averaging approximately 4 deliveries per week, with expected growth as the program expands
• Support staff expansion underway with plans to add either a midwife or APP
• Midwives are not currently providing first-call coverage

Schedule

• Seeking physicians able to provide at least 2-3 clinic days per week
• Clinic hours:
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM
• Call schedule is flexible and may include:
  • 12-hour call shifts
  • 24-hour call shifts
  • Week-long call coverage

Cases & Procedures

• Vaginal deliveries
• Cesarean sections
• Circumcision is not required

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active South Carolina medical license
• Comfortable practicing independently in a rural facility
