This hospital-based assignment features a high-volume surgical environment with a wide range of cases and the flexibility to opt into call. Physicians can shape their involvement across weekday shifts and procedural variety.

Practice & Cases

• Hospital setting with 13 operating rooms and multiple procedural suites
• Mix of inpatient and outpatient anesthesia care
• Cases include ortho, GI, urology, OB, vascular, and trauma
• Limited pediatrics and minimal cranial cases

Schedule

• Weekday shifts with two options, starting early morning
• Minimum one full Monday through Friday week per month
• Call shifts run evenings and full weekend blocks
• Block-style scheduling with repeat assignments available

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Iowa license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Logistics

• Airfare provided with up to two round trips per month
• Lodging accommodations arranged
• Rental car included for local transportation
• Mileage reimbursed as needed
