Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic gastroenterology team. This part-time position offers competitive compensation with the potential for increased hourly pay based on experience. As a PA/NP in our practice, you will work closely with our gastroenterologists to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Job Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal health
Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and liver disease
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, focusing on symptom management, disease prevention, and health promotion
Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures and tests, including endoscopies and colonoscopies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
Provide patient education on gastrointestinal health, including treatment plans, lifestyle changes, and medication management
Collaborate with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment

Requirements
Active PA/NP license in New York State
At least one year of clinical experience as a PA/NP (experience in gastroenterology or a related field preferred, but not required)
