The Sleep Medicine Section and Medicine Service of the VA San Diego Healthcare System is seeking a board eligible or board certified physician in Sleep Medicine with primary training in Internal Medicine or Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine. Candidates should have training and experience in Sleep Medicine, and possess a strong commitment to direct patient care and teaching of students, residents and fellows. This is a full-time clinical position with primary emphasis in Sleep Medicine patient care, interpretation of sleep recordings, supervision of respiratory therapists, sleep technicians, and clinical teaching. The VA will provide all salary support commensurate with experience. The candidate must have or obtain a current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Must be a US citizen to work at a federal facility. The candidate will have opportunities for teaching of Advanced Practice Providers and Allied Health Professionals (RTs and Technical Staff) in the San Diego VA Sleep Medicine Section, and scholarly activities that may include collaboration with funded investigators, publication of original clinical research, presentation of lectures, or development of curricular or teaching materials.
