 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP): Well-Being Mental Health (Integrative Psychiatry)

Location: San Luis Obispo, California
Position: Full-Time, W-2, in-office, 4 days per week,
Setting: Outpatient, integrative psychiatric practice

About the Practice: We are a small, integrative, psychiatric practice on the Central Coast of California dedicated to providing values-guided, whole-person mental health care. Connection, compassion, collaboration, and creativity form the cornerstones of our approach to treatment, which includes the blending of conventional evidenced based interventions with adjunct complementary therapies.

Well-being Mental Health offers a respectful, collaborative, and supportive environment where relationships with patients and colleagues alike are central to our work.  We are looking to hire up to two mid-level providers as we grow and build a close-knit practice dedicated to high-quality care.

Position Overview:  We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team.  The ideal candidate is grounded, compassionate and committed to both the science and art of psychiatry and appreciates the importance of integrative mental health care. He/she/they loves learning and thrives in a warm, collaborative environment where the pace allows for genuine connection with patients and thoughtful care planning.

What You’ll Do:

•            Provide compassionate, evidence-informed psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
•            Collaborate with team members and other community providers
•            Engage patients using compassionate inquiry
•            Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans
•            Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications when clinically appropriate
•            Support patients through both conventional and holistic treatment approaches
•            Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
•            Help nurture a calm, grounded, and respectful environment for healing

Qualifications:

•       Current California NP license and DEA certification
•            Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
•            Minimum 1 year of experience in an out-patient psychiatry setting 
•            Must be able to work in-office 4 days per week
