PHYSICIAN SCIENTIST – ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
The Maryland Psychiatric Research Center (MPRC), an internationally recognized leader in schizophrenia research and treatment, is seeking a full-time physician scientist with a focus on translational research in schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
This faculty position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead innovative, bench-to-clinic research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Candidates with interests in early phase psychosis, metabolic psychiatry, negative symptoms, or other emerging areas of psychiatric research are strongly encouraged to apply.
Preferred Research Strengths
- Human post-mortem studies
- Advanced neuroimaging including magnetic resonance techniques
- Neuromodulation methods such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
- Computational modeling and high-dimensional data analytics

Expected Salary Range: $230,000 to $300,000 (see full posting for details).
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO (or foreign equivalent)
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for unrestricted Maryland medical licensure and CDS registration
- Demonstrated research productivity and potential to secure extramural funding
