Position Overview
The University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Physiatrist to join the growing Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. This non-tenure track faculty position offers a unique opportunity to deliver specialized pediatric rehabilitation care while contributing to education and program development within Missouri’s only dedicated children’s hospital in mid-Missouri.
Clinical & Educational Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Pediatric Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Teach and mentor rotating residents and medical students in an academically rich, collaborative environment.
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists to deliver family-centered, coordinated care.
Program Highlights
- Newly opened, state-of-the-art 90-bed Children’s Hospital located on the main MU Health Care campus.
- The only children’s hospital in mid-Missouri, situated adjacent to the region’s only Level I trauma center.
- Comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services for patients ages 3 months to 18 years, including post-injury, post-illness, and post-surgical care.
- Tiger Intensive Therapy program providing customized outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.
- Family-centered care model featuring private patient rooms designed to support parent involvement and smooth transitions to home and outpatient care.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- M.D. or D.O. in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry)
