The Department of Pediatrics at Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York, Northwell Health, is seeking an experienced clinician to join our 6-member academic Division of Infectious Diseases as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician. The ideal candidate would be Board-Certified and have experience in clinical infectious diseases, with a strong interest in clinical research, teaching, and institutional activities that include Antimicrobial and Laboratory Stewardship, Infection Prevention, and Quality Improvement. Academic Appointment to Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience.
The interests and activities of our ID faculty of the span a wide breadth. These include community acquired infections, infections in immunocompromised hosts, HIV medicine, global health, congenital and perinatal infections, tick and other vector-borne infections, collaborative multicenter research projects, locally conducted research and stewardship projects, infection prevention innovations, and harnessing current technological tools to enhance data analysis and patient care. Our recent clinical innovations include consultations for vaccine hesitancy counseling, and for pregnant persons with a prenatal infection diagnosis. One of our faculty members is also Adult ID certified.
Owing to the preeminent standing of Cohen Children's in the northeastern region, and its geographic location, the range and acuity of infectious diseases managed by our division is comprehensive.
Cohen Children’s Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area’s only hospital designed exclusively for children.
