A physician-led health system in the Springfield, Illinois region is looking for an Internal Medicine physician who wants genuine autonomy, a flexible schedule, and a financial package that is difficult to find in outpatient primary care. No inpatient responsibilities, a 1:2 physician-to-MA ratio, telenurse triage for call coverage, and 35 days of combined vacation and CME make this one of the more well-structured outpatient IM roles in Central Illinois.
Practice Details
- Outpatient Internal Medicine in a single-clinic setting within a physician-led, collaboratively administered organization
- Dedicated APP support and a strong 1:2 physician-to-MA/LPN ratio at all locations
- Average of 18 to 22 patients per day for full-time physicians
- Telenurse triage handles call coverage, so your time off is protected
Schedule
- Monday through Friday clinic schedule with no inpatient responsibilities
- Full-time 1.0 FTE with flexible day and hour options and prorated schedules available
- Physicians have genuine input into how their schedule is structured
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $304,478 with a Performance Incentive Program for additional earnings
- $50,000 sign-on bonus and $150,000 in student loan forgiveness
- 35 days of combined vacation and CME annually, plus a $4,000 CME allowance
- Six paid holidays, plus the clinic is closed the Friday after Thanksgiving and a half-day on Christmas Eve
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Interest in outpatient-only, continuity-based primary care
- Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
