Nurse Practitioner – Genetics

X-Ray Associates of New Mexico is hiring a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner for our busy Breast Health and Imaging Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You will make a positive difference in the patient experience and quality of care by performing patient consultations with a focus on breast health and genetic studies, while working with a dedicated team including medical assistants, schedulers, breast imagers, and a dedicated nurse navigator. In this position, you will work directly with high risk patients to:
- Document detailed family histories, including pedigrees
- Perform genomic focused health assessments
- Develop plans of care, order appropriate genetic testing and radiological imaging, initiate health care interventions and make appropriate referrals
- Provide counseling to individuals and families about genetic risk for breast cancer
- Provide health education to patients and families influenced by high risk genomic factors related to breast health
Requirements:
- Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner License
- PECOS Certification
- Experience in Genetic testing and counseling
- AGN-BC Certification in Genetics strongly preferred.
