Practice Setting

• Inpatient Neonatology, NICU and newborn population
• Level II NICU support staff in place
• Approximate volume includes 3,000 annual deliveries
• Back up call to the pediatric hospital if needed

Schedule

• Coverage needed for the week of Christmas
• 24 hour shifts
• May work 48 hour blocks, cannot exceed 48 hours without a break
• Back up call to the pediatric hospital if needed

Cases and Procedures

• NICU care for neonates and newborns
• Attend high risk deliveries
• Pediatric hospital team attends C sections, neonatology does not

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Neonatology
• Active Georgia license required, facility will not wait for license
• DEA and PALS required
