- Family Nurse Practitioner Program Director
Description
We are currently recruiting a Family Nurse Practitioner to lead and teach in the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty DNP program as well as serve as the Program Director.
The incoming faculty is expected to have recent or active clinical practice, which will inform their teaching and oversight of the program. The candidate will have a strong clinical background in primary care. The combination of teaching & practice is a fundamental component of our educational mission.
The program director is responsible for oversight of the FNP-DNP program. Working closely with the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs, the PD will participate in recruitment and retention initiatives, oversee curriculum, faculty assignments, and facilitate clinical placements for students.
To be considered for the PD position, the candidate must have relevant administrative experience, knowledge of APRN guidelines, academic requirements and regulatory guidelines, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements
Successful candidates will have a doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, DNSc, DrPH, EdD) from a recognized institution of higher education. A minimum of two (2) years of practice experience and an active Family Nurse Practitioner license and certification are required. To be considered for the PD position, the candidate must have relevant administrative experience, knowledge of APRN guidelines, academic requirements and regulatory guidelines, and strong organizational and communication skills.
