Mercy Critical Care in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Critical Care Physician to join our thriving, high-acuity intensivist team. Our well-established program includes 12 Intensivists and 12 Advanced Practice Providers, delivering comprehensive 24/7 critical care coverage through a multidisciplinary, attending-driven model with exceptional APP support. Physicians care for a complex and diverse patient population, including medical ICU, stroke, neurosurgical, cardiothoracic, cardiac, ECMO, and advanced surgical patients. As part of a robust, high-volume critical care program, candidates will have the opportunity to utilize and expand strong procedural skills while working alongside experienced specialists within a nationally recognized health system. • 880 acute bed hospital
• 90,000 emergency visits annually
• 77 Total Adult ICU beds
• 9 bed Burn unit with ICU capabilities
• Excellent subspecialty consultative support
• Fully integrated health system
• System-wide EPIC

Mercy Critical Care

• 23 bed Medical ICU
• 25 bed Neuro Trauma ICU - Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, fully functional support teams including 24/7 Stroke team, Neurosurgical team, Neurocritical Care fellowship not required, but would be beneficial
• 25 bed Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic/Surgical ICU - Level I STEMI Center, rapidly growing Cardiothoracic program, Robust and growing surgical programs (Vascular surgery, Acute Care surgery, Advanced Head/Neck cancer ENT surgical teams, etc.) Mechanical Support including Impella and IABP, VA and VV ECMO program, ELSO Gold Center of Excellence (ECMO), ECMO experience preferred
• Very high group retention
