Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant - Illinois, 3-4 Weeks Per Month

Hospital-based CTS assignment in Illinois; consistent weekday schedule, 3-4 weeks per month.

Highlights

Practice Setting

• Inpatient-only cardiothoracic surgery
• Team of 5 APPs with RN and CV supervisor support
• No clinic duties; hospital coverage only
• EPIC charting

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM
• Optional night and weekend call (not guaranteed)
• Coverage needed ASAP and ongoing

Cases and Procedures

• First assist in CABG, AVR, MVR, ECMO
• Pre/post-op management, rounding
• EVH preferred but not required

Requirements

• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Illinois license required
• ACLS certification

Travel Accommodations

• Flights, lodging, rental car, and mileage reimbursed
• Located in Urbana; easily accessible for regional travelers
